ProductCamp Toronto 2009 Sessions

What topics would you like to present, or have a discussion about at ProductCamp Toronto 2009?

I'd like to discuss, or present:

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the “My feedback” filter and select “My open ideas”.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can vote and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can vote on it.

    1. Power Tools for PM: How to Analyze, Diagnose, and Improve sales results (& everything else in B2B)

This is an interactive session with a set of “power tools” that will help Product Owners/Managers/Marketers improve sales performance for B2B products. I will provide an analytical approach to review product performance in the sales channel, identify constraints, conduct focused research, and target initiatives for improvements. I will also provide suggestions on how to contact buyers even if your management will not permit it. The session will be interactive and topics can be shaped by participants. Bring your questions and tough problems.

      • Turning ideas into opportunities

A lot of people have ideas. Some may be great ideas, but how can you take your idea and see if there is really an opportunity for it to succeed? Is there really a need for your idea? If so, how big is the need and what must you do to take your idea forward. This discussion will help people understand how to identify whether their ideas really have some potential in the market.

                        • Brands, Products, Are You Listening?

The emergence of social media has moved us from an "Information Age" to an "Age of Conversations". Between Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, et al, we’re spending more time talking to each other and less time paying attention to messages from advertisers. How will a brand survive? The first step, listen to the conversations.

                            • Converting opportunities into results

People often say there are many opportunities - even during a time of crisis - so how come, results are still hard to come by or not being produced? What is missing? Format: Roundtable discussion

Frequently product management and marketing are challenged with the question "what value are you providing" to the rest of the company. It may have been due to recession cuts, ignorant management, or simply an honest question on quantifying the things we do. We'll try to bring out the best stories on how you justified your job to higher management, and explore different ways on how to elevate your job.
